McGregor Test Database

Changelog

  • 2026-08-06: added a fun little counter under the RUD Events stat that says how many days since the last observed RUD.
  • 2026-07-16: Very large mobile usability improvements on the dashboard, analytics is still bad but the dash is way more important. Also, I redid the entire timezone handling stuff. It worked before technically but the way it was put together hurt me on a personal level.
  • 2026-07-15: Included tests with the name "Starship Gasifier" in the mystery test filter, since these are in that category but sometimes are clear enough to name confidently.
  • 2026-06-05: Fixed Merlin primary filtering to include MVac, no clue how I missed this bug for so long.
  • 2026-06-03: Added filtering for the recent "Mystery Tests" and added an explanation of those tests when the stand filtering option is selected. The explanation is repeated on this page with slightly more detail.
  • 2026-05-29: Filled in the missing Falcon 9 stage 1 serial numbers and corrected one incorrect SN. Thank you to Avialuh for sending me the correct ones!
  • 2026-05-11: Minor fixes for analytics stats.
  • 2026-03-07: Re-enabled export functionality.
  • 2026-02-17: Moved the notes tooltip to the test name rather than the status, added booster SN notes on all F9 Stage 1 entries. The data is incomplete, if you know one that I did not or I have one incorrect please reach out!
  • 2026-02-09: Added sorting by duration range. Thanks to Uranium for the suggestion!
  • 2026-01-12: Added a handy little tooltip because sometimes there are clarifications or notes needed on tests (like the one today)
  • 2026-01-11: Redid the UI because it was kind of ugly before in my opinion. If you don't like the new one lmk.
  • 2026-01-10: Redid the analytics page layout to be a bit nicer.
  • 2026-01-10: Changed "success" phrasing to "normal" for clarity on what we actually know.
  • 2026-01-10: Major fixes: timezone display issues, performance improvements, centralized constants.
  • 2025-11-05: Added analytics graph and fixed timezone bugs.
  • 2025-10-10: Added toggle to exclude inactive stands.
  • 2025-10-01: Fixed analytics timezone issues, added average test duration dropdown.
  • 2025-09-19: Used Python script to set relight data more completely.
  • 2025-09-17: Added relight test data, changelog, SuperDraco filtering.
  • 2025-09-16: Added new RUD data from 2022 onward (thank you to Thomas Hayden from NSF!)
  • 2025-09-15: Added inter-test intervals and cumulative hours.
  • 2025-09-14: Fixed mobile layout, moved to Firebase hosting.

About

Thanks for having a look at my site! This is a simple project to allow people in our nice niche communities to find information about all the tests that happen at McGregor, SpaceX's Texas engine testing facility. The goal is to make it easy to search through and categorize past engine tests. While I personally follow the entire space world extremely closely, I'm nowhere near an expert on anything and even less so on web development. Things are always a work in progress and I'm very open to feedback!

While I try to maintain as high accuracy as possible, because of both how this data is collected and the fact that I'm a single human being with a life, mistakes do happen. If you notice something is wrong, please reach out and let me know! Just keep in mind while the vast majority of the data on this site is correct, there are absolutely some tests that were missed or logged with a mistake over the years.

Data Source: All data comes from NASASpaceflight's McGregor Live. This tracking wouldn't be possible without them and the work they do.
